Those Affected by the “MF” Flag Will Complain to the Police
“Mladafrontowcy” Mikhail Muski and Roman Vasiliev, detained on March 3 in Smolensk during the concert of “Lyapis Trubetskoy,” will file a complaint about the actions of the local police with the city prosecutor’s office. Upon exiting the provincial club where the concert took place, they unfurled the flag of the “Young Front.”
Police officers, without explaining the reason for the detention, forcibly dragged the young men around the corner, where they attempted to seize the flag. Then, Mikhail Muski was roughly thrown into a police UAZ vehicle. Here he learned that the police considered the “MF” flag to be fascist symbolism. After some time, having recorded their passport details, the young men were finally released. The flag was confiscated, and no protocols were drawn up.
Interestingly, there were many national flags at the concert itself, which did not seem to bother the police. According to various estimates, more than 400 Belarusians came to Smolensk for “Lyapis Trubetskoy.”
“Mladafrontowcy” sadly note that the police acted very harshly without understanding the symbolism and completely ruined the impression of a good concert.
